About ESPEN 2026
It is our privilege to invite you to the 48th ESPEN Congress which will be held in Berlin,
Germany, from the 5th to 8th of September, 2026. Thousands of participants from
Europe and across the world are expected to participate in the congress. The evolution
of the field of clinical nutrition is fascinating. Understanding the pathophysiological
mechanisms, together with the development of technological capabilities, gives
practical implications for adapting nutritional intervention in personalized medicine to
all clinical disciplines. Let’s follow the latest advances in the discipline that combines
scientific research with clinical medicine.
Over the years, the ESPEN Congress has evolved into the leading global event in the field
of clinical nutrition and metabolism. We are proud to continue this success story in the
vibrant and inspiring city of Berlin. This year, we will also celebrate the 20th anniversary
of one of ESPEN’s major initiatives – the Nutrition Day project.
Under the motto “Nutrition is the Mission”, we will highlight the pivotal role of optimal
nutrition in preventing disease, improving outcomes for patients with both acute and
chronic conditions, and safeguarding planetary health through sustainable food
systems.
